Its really simple.
Login with gmail account to the google analytics, add profile of your site and get the tracking code and then paste it in your site.

It is very easy, the google analytic tool is a profile specific so first register with your valid mail id and then add your profile means add site after login. google analytic provide a code for your site . copy and paste the code in your site as per google advice appears at the top of tracking code box.
