wordpress or joomla
« on: March 05, 2010, 02:13:21 PM »
Is there any difference regarding SEO preference if we use wordpress or joomla. I heard that wordpress is more SEO friendly. Is it only a myth or a reality.

Ive tried JOOMLA, and Plone.. boy did they SUCK.

Im hooked to WP at the moment.. love the UI, dislike the simplicity that everyone now can build a site in a couple of hours, so im trying to come up  with fancy scripts to implement. hehe

My five personal reasons why wordpress rocks:

1) Simple usability - Joomla's admin panel is so confusing, not even many professional webmasters can handle it.
2) SEO Friendly - No need to explain, its the purpose of this topic.
3) Easy installation - The installation is so easy. It can be done by people with hardly any knowledge.
4) Plugin and Theme Directories - Wordpress have so many plugins and themes it is unbelievable.
5) More popular - Wordpress is far more popular, showing more people use it and how it is more effective.

WordPress is a free and open source blogging tool and a dynamic content management system (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL.
