Dark themes vs. light themes

What is your opinion about websites' design? About the overall scheme 'light or dark'.

I started to see many very dark-themes websites lately and in my opinion - they look a bit bad. It's almost impossible to find something there and it is not visually good for my eyes. Usually I just skip sites like that.

My vote goes for light themes. I usually select light-blue themes, white shade themes or greyish black themes.

I fully support your stance. It is very difficult to come up with readable text on dark background. The style ellements tend to be subdued to the prominent dark background. I would not use it.
