In my opinion Google is the beast search engine. mostly people prefer Google than Yahoo.

I'm not sure that keeping good Google positions will benefit you on other engines. I've found - I can optimize for Yahoo & MSN - and they will not turn the tables on me at any given point.

When it comes to the applications, the Google SE cannot yet beat the Yahoo search engine. Its Yahoo mail service is totally good these days.
